Midway between Lancaster Urban Village and Lancaster Kiest Village, is in the Lancaster/Opal area which will also be a high density, mixed use apartment/retail development. The redevelopment of the Lancaster/Opal area has received a sustainable development grant of $135,000, administered by the City of Dallas and obtained for the project by Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, for early design work and planning.

“As each of these projects continue to move forward, other developers will want to move into the Lancaster corridor which is the Mayor’s hope,” Mr. Roberts continued. “I’m already receiving calls from brokers who want to buy the properties we’ve assembled. While I can understand the Mayor’s impatience, his efforts are making a difference in these neighborhoods.”
